Elizabeth Deboldt

Core Team

Elizabeth Deboldt, Ed.D calls herself a “gender futurist”—gender and social change have been her focus for the past four decades. The first half of that time, she spent as a women’s rights activist and studied developmental psychology at Harvard University (with Dr. Carol Gilligan) to learn how our identities as women and men are formed. During her time at Harvard, she co-authored a bestselling book, Mother Daughter Revolution (Addison-Wesley, 1993; Bantam, 1994) that was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. The second half began with joining a spiritual community where she went deeper into the foundations of self and relationship, rooted in consciousness itself. She has come to realize that our gender identities are so entangled in sociocultural reality that change most often results in new versions of old problems. She now work with “We” dialogue contexts to create experimental microcultures that creatively engage with diversity within a field of unity, opening new potentials for human transformation. In line with this inquiry, she has founded One World in Dialogue and co-lead emerge bewusstseinskultur e.V., a German educational charity.

Connect | Inspire | Transform

We are social change activists with a backround in contemporary spirituality. We are Europeans or at least based in Europe and identify with being European even if our origin is important to many of us. We all believe in the potential of Europe to embrace unity in diversity and become an experimental hub for new, post-national forms of society. We believe that a leap in consciousness is needed to set sustainable changes in Europe into place. This leap in consciousness comes from a combination of waking up and growing up.
