Kind Listening Circle
September 8, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

What are Kind Listening Circles?
The circle is a structured 90 minute online zoom space (for up to 12 people) for the practices of self-care through facilitated connection and support. The practices include the three teachable habits of:
- Listening with a quiet Mind (Taking turns to listen carefully to each other and ourselves with full attention) – Listening
- Asking Questions that Matter (Asking Important Questions) – Connection
- Appreciating from the Heart (Appreciating each other) – Cultivation of care for self and others
Participants’ sign up to join an online circle via a registration process and join the zoom call with the link provided after reading and agreeing to a ‘Wellbeing statement’. A facilitator guides the group through a structured and disciplined process of timed practice rounds for sharing out loud and listening in the shared group and in pairs. A host supports the space and technical side of the zoom management.
In Leeds, we are wanting to explore spreading out these spaces across organisations and in the community. So we first are inviting people to experience the space. We hope to offer and provide facilitation training in the near future.
This project is supported by Linda Allen from KindaListening
