Our bodies are magical. They are our first and most important creations in the physical world. And they are the doorways for the rest of our physical creations. Not because they can move stuff around, but because they emit the music that our environment dances to. And they could very well sing the song of Harmony.
Harmony in our bodies is natural and normal when we are connected to our true personal power. We can make the concepts of harmony and power fit together in our personal experience. We have come closer and closer to understanding that aggression comes from a feeling of vulnerability, of ‘not enough’-ness. Peace and Harmony do not flow from a place of making ourselves less in order to accommodate others, but from a place of such personal power that we never feel threatened.
Dance as a spiritual practice offers a chance to return to innocence. In dance you can simply be in your power and affirm Who You Really Are, in the present moment, in the material world, unconditionally. In such moments, your body sings a song that the whole world can dance to. Connection is connection – connect to Self and we are connected to all that is. Harmony is harmony – conjure harmony in your body and you conjure harmony in your environment. Such experiences are readily available to us, they just require our focus, our attention.
