We’d like to welcome you to the city of Leeds in the north of England on the eve of the start of the first ever Festival of Kindness, Compassion and Wellbeing. Gloria Kimberley, the Project Leader, will introduce you to her adopted city and tell you a bit about the Festival and why she got involved. She’ll then share a video of key spaces and places in Leeds introduced by some of the Co-founders of the Festival along with some special guests. The places have been specifically chosen due to having a connection to peace and compassion. Gloria will then share some parting thoughts and wishes for the Caravan of Unity.

I’m the Project Leader of the first ever Leeds Festival of Kindness, Compassion and Wellbeing and I’m delighted to be part of the Caravan of Unity. I’m also a Wellness Coach based in Leeds, UK supporting people in improving their health and wellbeing and am the host of the Sharing the Vibe podcast. In May 2019 I helped organise the Leeds MOMM (Moments of Mass Mindfulness) which was an all-day event celebrating holistic health, mindfulness and the importance of meditating in a group. This was my first step into organising community events. I was then asked to join The Kindness Revolution at #KinderLeeds to help design this Festival. I’m so proud of our team and what we’ve created, especially after we had to completely change our plans during lockdown. In my experience, when you work with talented and committed people with a clear and beautiful goal, then magic is created.
